hey thanks for being a nazi over at the macsox forums. Apparently its more important to show off how unhelpful you can be than to spend 5 seconds answering a simple question for a fellow apple supporter.

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that your comment was not meant to be a reply to the lovely kittiejenn's comment, and is instead meant for me.
I started macosx over 6 years ago to offer/gain support for Mac OS X. Obviously I did this to show off how unhelpful I can be. (insert eyeroll here)
The Mac OS X community rules have been posted and unchanged for more than 2 years. Is it my fault that you didn't read/heed them? I offered the opportunity for the post to be edited to be on topic. After 2+ hours it was unchanged, so I deleted it. If you can explain to me what made that post above the guidelines we have for the community, or why that post should be the exception, then I will apologize for deleting it. Likewise, if you can explain to me what a question about searching on an iPod has to do with an operating system, then, again, I will apologize.
Until then, I stand behind what I said/did and don't feel like a nazi at all.

my apologies to kittiejenn- hit the wrong reply button. But my unfamiliarity with the LJ format kind of illustrates my point here; You've got to understand that in a world wide population of webizens, not every one who stumbles across a forum like macosx is going to live and breathe the "community rules" like it's their bible.

Yes, I COULD have spent an hour reading the 4-5 page list of rules and FAQ's, but that would be a little counter-productive when I'm looking for a simple yes or no answer, don't you think?

Whether you feel like a nazi or not- I'm not the one who gave you that reputation, you earned that yourself, as that's what the comment i received was about before the post was deleted. Apple has put a lot of effort into integrating ipods with apple's computer software, so for you to try and distance the two of them doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I guess you just have a personal grudge against iPods, maybe? I don't know what you intended for the macosx community to be, but as I see it, its the most reliable and knowledgeable assembly of of people familiar with apple products I have ever been able to find. For you to stand as a barrier between one apple user and support from another user, simply to flex administrative muscle is pretty ridiculous.
